Keyword Rank Checker FAQs
Everything you need to know before running a ranking check.
What does the Google Keyword Rank Checker do?+
It checks whether a website appears in the first 100 organic Google results for the keywords and location you provide.
How many keywords can I check at one time?+
You can check up to five keywords in a single search.
How should I enter multiple keywords?+
Enter one keyword per line in the Keywords box. Blank lines and duplicate keywords are ignored.
How many searches can I run in 24 hours?+
A device can complete up to three searches within a 24-hour period.
How long must I wait before searching again?+
After a ranking check is completed, you must wait five minutes before starting another search from the same device.
Is there a daily limit for checking the same website?+
Yes. The same website or domain can be checked up to three times within 24 hours, even when different users submit it.
Does a blocked or unfinished search use my daily allowance?+
No. A request blocked by the waiting period is not counted. The daily allowance increases only after the full keyword check is completed.
When do the device and website limits reset?+
The limits reset automatically after the applicable 24-hour period has passed.
Do I have to select a country?+
Yes. Country selection is required because Google rankings vary between national markets.
Is the city or state field required?+
No. City or state is optional. Use a suggested location when you need a more specific local ranking check.
What happens if I leave the location field blank?+
The tool checks nationwide results for the country you selected.
How current are the ranking results?+
Each submitted keyword is checked when you run the search, so the table shows the ranking result returned for that request rather than an older saved report.
What does “Not found in Top 100” mean?+
It means the submitted website was not found within the first 100 organic results returned for that keyword and selected market.
Why can a ranking differ from what I see in Google?+
Google results can change with location, language, personalization, search time, and data-center differences. The checker provides a neutral location-based result at the time of the request.
Can I use the checker for brand-related keywords?+
Yes. You can enter your brand name or related queries to monitor visibility. For a broader strategy, read our guide to brand authority and how to improve it.
